Wraiths are a type of monstrous spirit-like supernatural creature. They are the spirit of a slain person reanimated by Necromancy, seeking revenge for past events, especially on the ones that murdered it in life. However, this requires the fallen's body, otherwise the creature would be a Shade.
Characteristics[]
Wraiths are described as essentially a combination of a zombie and a ghost, with Mia literally once calling them "living corporeal spirits".
Wraiths, as creatures of magic, are created using necromancy to reanimate a corpse and cannot be slain by normal weapons, since one cannot simply kill that which is already dead. Both mortal weapons and spells are useless against wraiths. Only a enchanted sword, such as Excalibur, a "sword begotten in the dragon's breath", can destroy them.
It is said that wraiths disappear when their task is completed. A Wraith can only be created by using magic to harness the grief and rage of a tormented soul and return it to its corpse, now an indestructible body.
Powers and Abilities[]
A Wraith is similar to a zombie, being reanimated by dark magic. Wraiths are described as being momentous, powerful, and extremely strong. Additionally, because they are already dead, Wraiths cannot be killed, as any man-made weapon or even mortal magic cannot kill a Wraith.
- Flight: Surprisingly, Wraiths are also able to fly at great speeds, much like ghosts.
- Invulnerability: Being undead living corpses, Wraiths are invulnerable to any mortal harm. Thus, any weapons created by man, blades or firearms, cannot kill Wraiths.
- Super Durability: Wraiths are invulnerable to harm and cannot feel a sword pierce their skin.
- Super Speed: Despite their heavy appearance, Wraiths are relatively faster than humans.
- Super Agility: Wraiths are incredibly agile; one wraith was able to crawl through the walls and attack its victims by climbing out of the ventilation shaft.
- Super Strength: Although magical living corpses, Wraiths are naturally stronger than humans, able to easily overpower them. One Wraith could take on four strong men.

As they are already dead, Wraiths cannot be "killed" in a sense. Despite that, they are not without their weaknesses. They can be destroyed by magically powerful weapons, such as Excalibur. Additionally, it is also said that once their tasks are completed, the Wraith itself will die.
