A Vulpesmyrca (VUHL-puss-MIR-kuh; Lat. vulpes "fox" + Ang.Sax. myrc "dark") is a black fox-like Wesen that was seen in "Bad Luck". They are often Leporem Venators who are known for hunting Willaharas for their feet, which are used in the illegal practice of Spedigberendess.
Characteristics[]
Vulpesmyrca make excellent hunters due to their incredible speed. They also have a very good sense of smell that aids them in hunting as well as detecting possible threats. When they woge, their fur is black in color with different variations among the species in the pattern of white fur appearing on their face. Their ears also become pointed and fox-like, slightly moving back and up higher, and their canines slightly elongate. They also possess enhanced strength when woged and can fight on equal footing with and even overpower a Grimm.
Behavior[]
They have an innate desire to hunt and kill, but they do not always hunt and kill for their own survival, sometimes choosing to make a career out of it as a Leporem Venator. When hunting, they are extremely opportunistic, often waiting to strike until their intended victims are alone or isolated. They will often gain additional advantages over their targets before they attack via deceptive tactics, such as playing an accordion to distract or lure in those they are hunting. They are excellent at tracking and have adapted to modern technology as well, willing to use tracking bugs if necessary.
