Sarcosuchus (name meaning "Flesh Crocodile") is a genus of crocodyliform that originated during the Early Cretaceous period in what is now South America and Africa. Sarcosuchus was one of the largest crocodilians to ever exist, second after Deinosuchus. One of the top predators of its time, it hunted dinosaurs, such as iguanodonts and juvenile sauropods.
Thought to have been extinct for 112 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island. In fact, it is one of the island's apex predators. They are also the most common crocodilian on the island, alongside Deinosuchus.
