Rachel Roth, also known as Raven, is a high school student, vigilante, and an apprentice of John Constantine.
Biography[]
Rachel had never had a happy childhood. She was born to Arella, a powerful Witch and a consort of the Demon Lord Trigon. She was born in the dimension Azarath and was cared for there by a mystical monk who put a gem in her forehead. This gem would later on help her control her abilities. Sensing that her mother had gone insane, the monk teleported her to Earth and gave her to a mortal family to adopt her. They raised her as their own and allow her to attend the local high school.
Before her eighteenth birthday, Rachel began having terrible nightmares of a hellish dimension and a dark voice calling her name. After her birthday, her powers began to awaken more and her foster sister, Lily, encourages her to train them.
Personality[]
Rachel is sometimes untrustworthy of people and can suffer from anxiety attacks. These anxiety attacks can unintentionally unleash her powers. The only person who can calm her down from these attacks is her foster sister Lily.
Appearance[]
Rachel has long black hair and pale skin. She has vibrant green eyes which turn blood red whenever she uses her powers. She dresses in black or purple clothes, having a special purple hoodie.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Azarath Cambion Physiology - As a cambion from Azarath, Rachel is different than regular cambions. Her demonic powers come from the blood of her father Trigon that runs through her veins.
- Astral Projection - Rachel can project her Soul Self out of her body. It sometimes takes the form of a translucent purple raven.
- Inter-Dimensional Travel - Rachel can travel to different dimensions but it's very tricky.
- Telekinesis - Rachel can move and levitate items and beings through psychic power. She can also push people back with powerful telekinetic blasts.
- Empathy - Rachel can sense the emotions of others.
- Empathic healing - Rachel can heal people of wounds and diseases. She does this by putting their pain onto herself and rapidly healing them.
- Flight - Used in tandem with her telekinesis, Rachel can levitate into the air.
- Umbrakinesis - Rachel can call forth the dark energies of Azarath to her. These energies normally resemble shadows
Regular Abilities[]
- Knitting: Rachel has an affinity for knitting. It was taught to her by her foster mother. She claims that it "calms her down.
- Meditating: Like knitting, Rachel learned how to meditate from her foster mother. This also calms her down.
- Basketball playing: An ability she is slowly mastering, Rachel likes to sometimes play basketball.
Weaknesses[]
- Nightmares: Rachel suffers from powerful nightmares. These nightmares can go so severe she sometimes wakes up screaming in the middle of the night.
- Anxiety: Rachel suffers from major anxiety. This anxiety can sometimes be debilitating.
- Angels - Angels are strong enough to harm and/or kill Rachel.
- Azarath Magic - Her mother's magics can trap and/or kill her.
