Pulmonoscorpius (name meaning "Breathing Scorpion"), otherwise simply known as the Giant Eight-legged Scorpion, is a genus of giant arachnid scorpion that originated during the Late Carboniferous era in what is now Europe. The high oxygen level in the Carboniferous Period allowed this creature (and many others) to grow to very large sizes.
Thought to have been extinct for 300 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island.
