Pliosaurus (name meaning "More Lizard"), also known as Predator X, is a genus of short-necked pliosaur that originated during the Late Jurassic period in what is now South America, Europe, and Australia. The apex predator of the Jurassic seas, this is perhaps the largest and most well-known pliosaur.
Thought to have been extinct for 145 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island. In fact, they are one of the island's apex predators.
