Phorusrhacos (name meaning "Rag-Bearer"), commonly known as the Terror Bird, is a genus of large, carnivorous, flightless terror bird that originated during the Early Miocene epoch in what is now South America.
Thought to have been extinct for 1 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island. In fact, they are one of the island's apex predators. They are also one of the most common birds on the island, alongside Archaeopteryx, Teratornis, Kelenken, Dodo, Harpagornis, Iberomesornis, Giant Moa, and Ichthyornis. They are also most common terror birds on the island alongside, Kelenken.
