Jaekelopterus (name meaning "Jeakel's Wing") is a genus of large, predatory eurypterid that originated during the Early Silurian era in what is now Europe. The largest sea-scorpion ever discovered, Jaekelopterus is also the largest arthropod of all time.
Thought to have been extinct for 400 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island.
