The Iato Werewolf is a rare breed of werewolves that were created by Lycaon with the sole purpose of hunting other werewolves. Twice as strong as a common Alpha, they can emit a shrill howl that can supposedly kill a Beta or Omega and knock a Delta or even an Alpha unconscious. While the former has never been proven, the Latter has been seen to work to much effect. The silent cove hunters encountered an Iato when Raphael Parker sent one to kill John Howlett as revenge for the death of Lycaon. As Iato do not have packs, there are no Alphas, and so Iato are not promoted when one kills a common Alpha.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Shapeshifting - Iato possess the ability to shift into the form of a monstrous wolf-like human form.
- Superhuman Strength - Iato are slightly stronger than Alphas, as they need an edge over them, but are not strong enough that they could face a Theta.
- Superhuman Speed - Iato are slightly faster than Alphas.
- Superhuman Senses - Iato possess heightened senses superior to Alphas.
- Resistance to Cold - Iato can spend long periods of time in freezing cold weather easily.
- Pack Sense - As Iato do not travel in packs, it is unknown the depth of this ability, although they can sense other nearby werewolves.
- Animal Control - Iato can control most animals telepathically.
- Howl - Iato can supposedly kill a beta by howling and knock an Alpha or Delta unconscious. Only the latter has been displayed to much effect.
- Detection Avoidance - Iato can mask their telepathic signature and scent to make them undetectable to other Werewolves except Zetas, who can sense their presence as it was a Zeta who created the Iato.
- Rage Enhancement - Werewolves can increase in strength the more that their Anger increases
Weaknesses[]
- Silver - Silver will cause burns if contacted with Skin. It can kill Wolves if hit in the heart or head, And can permanently injure if not removed. Iato can resist this more easily than Alphas
- Wolfsbane - Wolfsbane Will Cause Acid Like Effects to Skin and is Poisonous if ingested. Iato have a stronger resistance to this than Alphas.
- Moonstone - Moonstone Will turn off a werewolf's abilities, and Iato are no exception.
- Mercury - Will act as a poison if in the bloodstream. Iato do, however, have a higher level of immunity to to it, although it will still prove lethal in the long run.
