Glyptodon (name meaning "Grooved Tooth") is a genus of glyptodont that originated during the Pleistocene in what is now North and South America. Measuring 3 meters long and weighing 2 tons, they were smaller than its cousin the Doedicurus.
Thought to have been extinct for 10,000 years, there are still large groups that remain alive on Primeval Island. In fact, they are among the most common Glyptodonts on the island alongside, Doedicurus.
