The Dire Wolf (Canis dirus, name meaning "Fearsome Dog") is a genus of a prehistoric wolf that originated during the Late Pleistocene epoch in what is now North America and Asia. One of the most famous prehistoric carnivores in the world, the Dire Wolf is also the largest canine that has ever existed.
Thought to have been extinct for 9,000 years, there are still large packs of them that remain alive on Primeval Island.
Trivia[]
- The sounds effects of Dire Wolves are that of typical wolf sounds, added with leopard, lion, camel, and tiger sound effects to give them a more intimidating appearance.
