Diplodocus (name meaning "Double Beam") is a genus of diplodocid sauropod dinosaur that originated during the Late Jurassic period in what is now North America. Perhaps the longest sauropod dinosaur ever discovered, Diplodocus is also acknowledged as being among the most easily identifiable dinosaurs.
Thought to have been extinct for 145 million years, there are still large groups that remain alive on Primeval Island.
