The Cave Lion (Panthera spelaea) is a genus of feline that originated during the Pleistocene epoch in what is now Europe. Twice the size of modern lions, this was among the largest cat species to exist.
Thought to have been extinct for 10,000 years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island.
