Baryonyx (name meaning "Heavy Claw") is a genus of spinosaurid dinosaur that originated during the Early Cretaceous period in what is now Europe. A relative of Spinosaurus and named for its very large claw on the first finger, Baryonyx has a long and narrow snout comparable to that of a crocodile.
Thought to have been extinct for 125 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island.
