Andrewsarchus (name meaning "Andrews' Beast") is a genus of carnivorous mammal that originated during the Middle Eocene epoch in what is now Asia and Africa. Among the largest mammalian carnivores known, Andrewsarchus was more closely related to hoofed animals, despite its canine-like appearance.
Thought to have been extinct for 35 million years, there are still some that remain alive on Primeval Island. In fact, they are one of the Island's apex predators
